Ekayana college Union and Republic day celebration by Reshma Ramachandran 28/01/2021
O my god ....I don't know how to begin. In this moment iam just thanking God for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to be a part of Mar Theophilus college.
Then came the moment for us to perform on the stage for the very first time. Subash sang a solo song and after that our while class sung a group folk song. Everyone including teachers was so encouraging and supportive.
The morning today was calm and pleasant, as I was walking to my way to college with my yoga mate, all prepared to start our yoga session. Yoga is said to be the union of mind, body and soul. After yoga, we felt rejuvenated.
So after the yoga session, Maya ma'am's class started. She continued the class from where she have left in the last class. In between we got to see a small performance from Priyanka and Roshna. That was sporty.
The class was followed by optional subject. Bindu ma'am gave us time to practice for the Republic day celebration after giving some lecture about aim, objectives,.skills and values.
Our class prepared a group folk song in less than one hour for the program. Our star for today was Subash, the owner of a melodious voice, a beautiful singer. He sang a Malayalam song.. Mayilay parannuva...was a bliss.
Soon the Repulic day celebration by Ekayana began with a patriotic film song, des rangeela from the movie Fana by Sukanya from Malayalam.
Then followed by English optional. They did a Karole song blend with a dance on the song As watan.
The programs conducted by Mathematics, natural and physical science was wonderful.
Last but not the least, Maya ma'am had a birthday surprise. The whole college wished her happy birthday and the college union gave her a gift. She was thrilled and filled with joy and happiness. May she have all the happiness and good health in her life.
The celebration came to its end. Everyone was busy taking selfies and pictures. I too helped them by taking pictures for them. This event brought a sense of integrity and binding factor in all of us to stay connected and united. Looking forward for such days....
