"ID, EGO and SUPER EGO" by Reshma Ramachandran 27/01/2021
The day started off with divine prayer. The first hour was optional in which Bindu ma'am recollected a quick summary of previous class and taught us about the relevance of social science in the modern world. It was more interactive that we contributed many points. Her class ended with discussing the difference between social studies and social science.
The next hour was taken by our Gibi ma'am which was interesting and informative. She disclosed a new topic infornt of us about ID, EGO and SUPER EGO.
ID - IMMEDIATE IMPULSE
EGO- REASONING IMPULSE
SUPER EGO- ETHICAL IMPULSE
She gave us a task to observe the ID,ego and super ego in ourselves and try to say no to ID. She gave many examples siting her own personal experience which turned to be very interesting.
After lunch break Maya ma'am explained to us about the importance of learning b.ed course.
Why to study?
What to study?
How to study? and
When to study ?
She also told us the A-Z qualities a teacher should possess. Some of them are good physical and mental health, commitment, empathy, cleanliness etc.
The next was followed by Joju sir. He entered the class and immediately said to form a circle with our respective classmates on the count of 3. We jumped from the chairs and grabbed our classmates 😂 trying to form a circle. He asked one person to come forth from each group and take a lott for presenting a topic based on the dangerous side of technology. I got Lott number 4 which said "what teachers can do to avoid these dangerous effects on students?"
Then sir divided the whole class into 8 groups and said to form a circle and choose a leader, report writer and time keeper within each team. I was in the Group no. 1 and leader for the group. We discussed about the the disadvantages or cons of technology. Later sir asked each report writers to present the topic next day.
When the bell rang, the class leaved for physical education. George sir taught some warm up exercises and then gave us a game called "KOKO", which contains two groups- the catchers and the runners. The game was filled with energy and fun.
The class dispersed afterwards with fun and full on joy.
