"Education for change" by Reshma Ramachandran 3/03/2021


The day started with Assembly of our English department... "Niyukthas". The assembly was informative and thought provoking. Our principal official inaugurated the English association by releasing their official name and motto. ..Niyuktha, "education for  change".

The morning hour was consumed by optional and Ancy ma'am. The former taught about the interconnection between pedagogy, technology and content knowledge. The latter taught Forbel philosophy. Then Maya ma'am came with pragmatism.

The hour after lunch break was occupied by joju sir in which he discussed about practicum and told us to find one topic for practicum regrading educational technology.
 Later Ancy ma'am continued her class and she tried to recall the names of different optional students and in between ma'am made Subhash from my class to sing a song as we were feeling low. He nailed it.. totally...
Last two hours was physical education in which sir taught us to calculate BMI and waist hip ratio.  I was happy to know that I have normal BMI and excellent waist hip ratio.🤩

Till I enter into the school I was a student, in all aspects. But now Iam a teacher...a prospective teacher. Later it was studying for exams, practicing for youth festivals, dance music and what not...but now from the limelight to the back stage, arranging the Carmel day at school, doing makeup to the students for dance performances and giving them confidence to reduce the back stage tensions...this moment I realised I grew up from that 15 year old school kid to a teacher. Experiencing the same old school program days with a little twist in my role..And iam proud to say that iam a teacher by choice.
